no one can make fun of you harder than yourself..

a thought about comedians and my respect fo their guts to stan up and talk in front of crowd about something they might or may not find in common.

a live show...

where the monitors and and the sound check hang in suspended cubes from cranes at the top edge of a stadium, screens on all three sides project a differente camera set-up AND there is a grand piano on the bottom, in the middle of the crowd. PLUS a towering spiran supports a giant man-made moon that illuminates the entire venue.
oh, yeah, plus, screens on top of the stadium...
yeah.. it'd be a cool show...

her...

somewhere between my passion for drawing, my emotional drive for art... and her... AND my nostalgic twisted belly... i look at the corner of my room where we've slept and hope she's having a wonderful day.
i cant wait to see her, so i turn back to my drafting table and wish i could speed time.
but in between panels, i took a break to capture that emotion in another drawing.

a gift for a guitar player.

oh, yeah, on more sketch i found...

street joust!

in color!

ANOTHER JIM STROUD

is in the works! and this is the BLACK AND WHITE COVER.
the color cover will be released with the book.

one more pencil pic..

SO many sketches and work, but, these are nice and i'm able to show these.... hehe

THis si nothing "new" but i DO like this subject matter quite a bit.
"boy VS giant Robot", because of the high contrasts it may present: human vs machine; small vs big; incense vs knowledge; agility versus force; etc..
I've done drawing like this before, and there's TON of others out there...
Hope you enjoy.

BACK!

these are some sketches i did during my visit to the San Diego Comic Con.
a BIG helo to Terminal Press; L.A.'s THE DEVASTATTOR magazine, Devon Deveraux, the Sequential Art Department and EVERYONE AT THE SCAD BOOTH, Geoff Mosse, Matt Voss, Patric Reynolds, Kel McDonald, Frank Gibson and Becky Dreistad, Jarrett Willaims, SLG! the Periscope Studio, Lee Keeler, Alex Wilson, Michael Bills, Naaman McFarland Meredith McClaren, Bryan Louie, Ernest Gomez, Lauren Stewart, Van Jensen AND SO MANY MORE FOLKS!!
THANKS FOR A GREAT WEEKEND!
